Point of Care Coordinator

Description



The Point of Care Coordinator is integral to ensuring the effective and efficient operation of point-of-care testing (POCT) within the laboratory and PMG Division. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including training, validation, data analysis, technical troubleshooting, and compliance with quality assurance and control protocols. The coordinator is also responsible for maintaining individual training records and assisting in the standardization and implementation of system processes.

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science with 2 years experience in related field, or


  • Coursework/Training: Medical Laboratory Technician with 6 years experience in related field


  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or


  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists, or


  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or


  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or


  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists


  • 2 years experience as a MT/CLS or Medical Laboratory Technician with 6 years experience in related field



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Coursework/Training: 2 years of college in the field of science


  • Coursework/Training: Point of Care Specialist Certificate or Program

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
