Supervisor Nursing - Med Surgical "Full Time Nights"

Description



Under the direction of the Department Manager, the Clinical Coordinator provides an optimal practice environment for the care of patients. Expertly uses the nursing process to oversee care for patients on a particular unit and participates in patient care as needed. Plans, organizes, controls and coordinates the department activities for a shift ensuring high quality patient care and efficient, cost effective service.

Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing


  • Internal Nursing Supervisors must have an Associate degree in nursing. Will obtain a bachelors degree in nursing within 2 years from date of transfer.


  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License


  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association


  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Required in area of practice or related field. If no certification at hire or time of transfer, you will have 6 months after you are eligible for exam to attain and must maintain.


  • 2 years recent experience in an acute hospital setting.



Preferred Qualifications:




  • Master's Degree in Nursing.


  • Leadership experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
